Spring is a time of budding energy. It’s a time of both biological and cultural significance. Throughout the world and across cultures we see the acknowledgement of rebirth. We see the blossoming of flowers, new babies on the ground, and the awakening of hibernating creatures.

"Springing

Meanwhile in Northern Wisconsin

Here in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, spring comes late, but oh, how sweet it is. Our many lakes don’t melt until April. Our flowers don’t bloom till May, but you always know it is coming. One sure way is to look at the branches in the forest. The buds are just waiting to burst new leaves.

Most people don’t realize the buds are actually there all winter. If you look at a twig in the winter and there are no buds, there will be no buds, and no leaves in the spring. Those buds you see in winter were actually set up long ago in the fall, and they have just been waiting for the right time.

Animal Leadership Update

Well, here at Animal Leadership we are waiting to burst some new leaves too. I have been out sharing the Animal Leadership message and helping leaders develop their skills and play to their strengths by giving speeches, but we have been somewhat dormant as far as sharing information with many of our online communities. That’s about to change!

For the first time, we are unleashing our new Animal Leadership Newsletter. In it you will get highlights from our calendar, great articles, tips on leadership skills development, and much, much more. We know you’re going to love it and we hope you share it with your friends and help them have a great time developing new skills of their own.

So, just like the budding leaf that few noticed had been preparing for so long, we are about to spring out! Please let us know how you like the newsletter and if you’d like to contribute an article or blog post, just reach out.

All my best,

Rad
