Animal Leadership Implementation Guide

Introduction

This guide is intended to help you get a jumpstart on the Animal Leadership system, and to help you quickly begin to be the leader of your own life. What does that mean? Well, many people walk through their lives on autopilot, not knowing what they want or never deciding to take action to achieve their desires. I don’t want this for you, and I know you’re not the kind of person who would tolerate this. In nature animals that live their lives in a lackadaisical haze do not survive – they fail the game of life. You are obviously a survivor, and it is in your nature to succeed. I want you to have the tools you need to maximize your success so you can thrive! The Animal Leadership system will provide these tools. This guide is only the beginning; there is much more to be revealed as you continue to learn from the materials I will send you. You will learn that as long as you pay attention, and implement this system in your life, success is natural.

Understanding Animal Leadership

The Animal Leadership system will help you play to your strengths by helping you define and understand your personality. Different personalities have different associations with what brings pleasure and what causes pain. Your personality will dictate how you live your life and how you approach situations. After years of studying wildlife in natural and unnatural habitats, I have determined that people’s personalities tend to follow those of four animal leaders – those which I call the animals of power. From my work with numerous supervisors and employers, hundreds of volunteers and community groups, and individuals that I have been responsible for overseeing or coaching, I have come to see that people tend to follow the behaviors of the bear, the wolf, the eagle, or the horse.

The main personality types have varying degrees of assertiveness or social participation. Bear people are assertive and like to get results. They are quick to direct others or just go their own way in rapid pursuit of their goals. Wolf people like to be playful and take risks. They are outgoing and need to communicate thoughts and feelings frequently. Eagle people are careful planners. They like to review everything they can see before they take action. They want time and space to make their decisions. Horse people like to collaborate every step of the way and follow the herd. They highly value the security of their calm social surroundings and a routine. They serve others and see things through to the end.

There are no right or wrong personalities. The thing to understand is that it is best to embrace your personality and bring your best forward. As long as you understand how you assess situations, you can put yourself in the right habitat. This will allow you to play to your strengths, not waste time on your weaknesses, and avoid the traps that are set for you. When you are doing what you like, how you like, and taking care of your priorities, you will see that your best comes forward and success will naturally come your way.
